My best friend and her daughter have got me into Farm town on Facebook, now I need to check my farm most nights and plough, harvest & plant to make money and move up in the game. I try to only go on there when I need to sit down and do not much else as it is a way of me stopping myself from doing too much physical stuff.
Mind you I am so glad that I am on facebook as it has meant that an old friend of ours (mine & hubbys) has got in touch. This is someone I have known for nearly 20 years but lost contact with them 12 or so years ago. You know what it is like as you get older your friends change, move away, or you move and contact is lost thru no fault of anyone’s, but lost all the same. Well this was someone who I used to talk to a lot about all sorts of things and we were very close at one point, he was also very close to hubby and worked with him.
This friend was such a friend we named our son after him, that is how close we all were at that time, but life opened up some doors for him and we would have never held him back just to keep him living near by.
So when he sent me a message on facebook I was so happy I smiled for days, even thinking about those first few messages makes me smile now. I can't wait for us to meet up face to face again in the very near future; we all have so much to catch up on.
I have given him a head start as I sent him a link to my diary so he can see what has been happening in our lives since Oct 2004.
I can't believe I have been writing this for so long, I had never done anything like this before so to still be adding to my diary is more of a surprise to me than you may think.
I'll try not to forget you for facebook....
