The trouble was I had so little notice I couldn't do anything about it.
You see if I want to go out for the night I still have to plan days in advance so that I don't do too much in the hope for a good day, then I have to save my energy for that night and not use it during the day.
Well; I had lain in that morning, but had been round a friend’s house and played games with her two young girls, nothing too energetic, but tiring all the same, so by the time I got the call all I wanted was tea and bed.
I stayed up as late as I could and called the pub where the reunion was taking place and spoke to the person who had sent the message via a friend.
Now I never had many friends at primary school, so it wasn't a case of wishing to recall old times, but I wouldn't mind knowing what some of the old class are doing now and if we all made it this far. I hope everyone did make it and that they are all doing well, but you never know how things will work out when you are nine....
