They have nearly all lost their markings so telling one from another is getting harder but not totally impossible.
The thing that really touched me was that the one lamb I had named who used to give me lamb kisses while I feed other, still remembered me. My Gizmo even came when I called him.
I went into a different paddock and when I returned he came walking over to me and stood there getting fuss from me.
I thought I'd have been forgotten as it has been months since I last saw them up close, but the bond is still there....
The good news is he is our lamb; we will have him when the time is right, it may sound silly but I'm glad we will get to eat him.
I really think I could get used to a life of raising my own animals for food, just a shame we don't have enough land to do it. Town living isn't something that agrees with raising your own livestock....
Having said that the chickens are on the way; or will be as soon as we have the area ready for them. Home laid free range eggs, I can't wait...
