First (7/1/08) I go into the outhouse and smell burning plastic, not sure what it is I carry on with what I'm doing assuming the smell is coming from outside.
A little while later I notice the same smell in the kitchen and it worries me again, but I can't see anything so again assume it has come from outside and is just moving thru the house.
Then I go to use the microwave & realise it isn't working, thinking now that this is the source of the smell I unplug it and check the dishwasher (they share a double socket), this also isn't working....
Now I'm puzzled a bit so I go and check the fuse box to find the switch has been tripped, so I re-set it and start testing all things in the kitchen & outhouse.
Fridge, fine, Microwave, fine, dishwasher, fine......... washing machine, not fine it isn't working!!!
This washing machine has been practically rebuilt in the five and a bit years I have owned it, time for a new one.
So I find one I want, order it online and wait days for the delivery on the 23rd of Jan (well delivery only cost £1).
In the mean time I decide it's time I cleaned out my ovens (it’s a range cooker) on my cooker, so on the 15th of Jan I take the back out of one of my ovens and spray the inside with oven cleaner (it's a fan oven), leaving that to work I spray the back plate on both sides and leave that to work as well.
When I come to clean off the cleaner I notice that my oven is on??? I check the switch, no definitely off, yet the element is hot enough to cause a warm oven!!!
OK time for a new cooker we decide as after 7 years of silly things being wrong I just don't like mine enough to spend hundreds on getting it repaired.
I can still use it, I just must turn it off at the wall each time I finish using it.
Then to top it all off we had a gas leak on the 19th Jan.....
That's it I've had my three can I go now???
