Holidays Over, Home Again!!!

Well we are back....

We got back Monday evening, yes I know its Friday today but I'm still in holiday mode really, I just can't seem to get moving.

I'm too relaxed to want to do anything, well that and daughter has given me her cold that she caught while on holiday.

The strange thing is I can't really say that I'm suffering from any ME/CFS related symptoms at all, well not while this cough & cold has me suffering from a headache, sore throat & the cough of course. I'm just glad I'm not all blocked up as well.....

‘Sits waiting for the boggy man to come block me up’ now I've said that....

So I'm following my MT's advice and doing what makes me happy which at the mo is to stay chilled out, the housework will still be there when I'm ready to tackle it.

What I hear you cry, you're not doing any housework till you feel like it....

Well of course housework is getting done, just not all by me and besides I want to do more to the house than just basic housework.

I have bought Anthea Turner’s Perfect Housewife book and I plan to follow her example and de-clutter like I have never de-cluttered before, then to clean each room properly so that the everyday task of cleaning the house is something I can manage.

OK so that all sounds like a lot of work and it is, but I have months in which to do it, and I plan to tackle it one room or cupboard at a time, and slowly work my way thru the house over the next few months, so that by the time I feel fit enough to return to work the house should be ready for me to.

I don't want to end up back in full time work with a messy house to clean as well as the cooking, etc, etc, etc.... I want to stay healthy and not end up back where I am now, or where I was in May with a wheelchair in tow.

Talking of said wheelchair, it did come to the south of France with us, but I only needed to use it once, mind you my ankles did swell up something rotten, if only they would stay down in hot weather as they then make my feet hurt as my shoes get too tight...

At least they went down each night.

The other good thing was that I managed to read all of HP7 while I was there. Daughter would see me reading and get me some tissues every time I picked up the book, yes I'm that soppy I cry at films as well...

Suppose I'd better get on with the shopping, at least I'm home; the motivation will come when the kids go back to school/college I'm sure.
