This one has worn me down more than a cold should, but that is the least of my woes at this moment in time.
My Father-in-law passed away today.
He has been ill for so long, and fighting to live for so long that I suppose I never really thought he would go.
We rushed to be with him at Easter and again in October, then out of the blue we hear he has passed with no warning, no come see him he only has hours, nothing.
At least I know he is now in peace and no longer in pain.
Mind you, the sorrow I saw in his eyes the last time we spoke I think will stay with me for a long time to come.
Rest in peace, your suffering is done.
