I had a Body shop party here on Friday (if I forgot to invite you I'm sorry I didn't mean to) and then we went to friends for a dinner party on Saturday night.
Both hubby and I got dressed up, I love getting dressed up smart, but I don't get the chance much as I'm no longer working, and wearing a suit to sleep on the sofa isn't a good thing...
The evening was full of good food, good company, and good wine, plus I seemed to leave a trail of glitter everywhere I went, Opps!!!
Sunday morning was a lazy one, after a late night.
I needed to recharge the batteries after the previous two days, so I stayed in bed way past getting up time.
When I finally made it out of bed we took son to a Karate course he needed to attend, then off to Karting, after all he didn't quite make it on Friday due to the place being fully booked already.
By the time we got home to have dinner, I realised that the vegetables weren’t cooked. I had put a dinner in the slow cooker before we went out for over 4 hours, so I put the dinner out and put each plate in the microwave to finish off the cooking.
Well this didn't work very well... One bad dinner!
Little did I know that this would then be the trend for the rest of the week, so far I have managed to mess up on more dinners than I care to think about. It's not rocket science, just straight forward simple food, stuff I've cooked a hundred times before with no problems.
Maybe I shouldn't cook at all, after all even the pre-made Lasagne yesterday looked very pale when it was supposed to be done, and it was lacking in any flavour at all.
I'd go on strike but then no one would eat, maybe I should just stay out of the kitchen for a while? Maybe forever?
After all I can't cook and sleep at the same time, and I have spent most of Monday & Yesterday asleep again.....
